I sat there baffled as my arrow keys on Excel made the screen move up and down instead of the cell. Going through all the different settings trying to figure out what the problem was, I grew increasingly frustrated. Then the light bulb went off, if I’m currently having issue, I’m sure someone else has found the solution and published it on the Internet.
And just as I expected, a forum post on a website called “Teach Excel”.
The answer? Scroll Lock. Oh right, man I feel like an idiot. But seriously, what in the world did people do before Google?

Pro Tip: If you want to punk a friend, wait until they walk away from their computer, then click “Alt + Ctrl + Down arrow” and watch them panic when they come back. :)
