
I hate it when people criticize Asians for shunning their heritage and “wanting to be white” if they choose to wear colored contacts or dye their hair brown or blonde. I’m sorry, if a white person dyes their hair black, does that mean that person “wants to be Asian”?
Newsflash. Unlike Caucasians, nobody was shocked when I popped out of the womb and out came out with black hair, brown eyes.
I am indeed comfortable with how I look. And I most definitely am proud of my Chinese culture. However, if I feel like expressing myself through means of my own body, you can bet I sure as hell will.
