010711. subtle racism.
I was at Wal-Mart today, tasked with the challenge of finding a new foundation for my newly tanned skin. To my dismay, I soon learned that all the bastards at Revlon, Maybelline, Covergirl, etc. are all racist! My god! Almost every single one left me looking as pasty as a ghost! I mean, is it really necessary to make 8 shades of light beige? With only about 2 darker shades for each brand, it became clear that make-up companies don’t give a shit about minorities. I must have tried at least 25 different products before finding one that kind of fit my skin colour. Even then, you could tell it carried a white undertone. But given that I’m not even that dark, I wonder what African Canadians/Americans do?
